Ideal candidates have 3+ years in control systems for manufacturing, PLC/SCADA experience, UL508A awareness, and willingness to travel for installation and start‑ups.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of direct controls engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in PLC/SCADA design.
• Strong knowledge of UL508A panel design.
• Understanding of instrumentation and control (I&C).
• Experience with P&IDs and process flow diagrams.
• Willingness to travel for installation/start-up.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation solutions and participate in various phases of automation projects including design specifications, software configuration and testing, and commissioning and start-up of high-speed automation processes.
• Design automation control systems and create project documentation and drawings to meet client requirements.
• Diagnose automation problems.
• Interface with teams, clients and vendors.
• Configure software and hardware packages according to client design specifications.
• Program PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Rockwell) and HMI/SCADAs (FactoryTalk, Cimplicity, Wonderware, Ignition).
• Communicate plan progress to project stakeholders.
• Manage engineering projects and project deliverables to schedule and scope.
• Oversee site construction and installation.
• Support site start-up of integrated control systems.
• Validate and commission facility systems and turnover to customers.
