Job summary

Jobot is seeking a controls engineer in Missouri to design, modify, and optimize PLC, HMI, and robotic control systems in a highly automated manufacturing facility. You will lead automation projects from concept through implementation and troubleshoot complex electrical and robotics issues to maximize equipment uptime.

The role requires a bachelor's in engineering and 2+ years of controls engineering experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent controls experience.
2+ years of controls engineering in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

Design, modify, and optimize PLC, HMI, and robotic control systems across a highly automated facility.
Lead controls and automation projects from concept through implementation.
Troubleshoot electrical, controls, robotics, and automation issues to maximize uptime.
Collaborate with maintenance, manufacturing, quality and engineering teams to improve safety and productivity.
Program and support Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, networks, and robotic systems.
Develop and maintain electrical schematics, controls docs, and operating procedures.
Support new equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning.
Drive continuous improvement using Lean manufacturing principles.
Implement Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing solutions.
