Job summary

Marvin is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, program, and support automation systems for its manufacturing operations. You will develop PLC/HMI solutions, integrate drives and sensors, and optimize equipment for safety, reliability, and throughput.

You will collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams on new installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects, while maintaining documentation and complying with electrical and safety standards.

Qualifications

Experience designing, programming, and troubleshooting PLC and HMI control systems.
Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs.
Knowledge of NFPA 70E and electrical safety practices.

Responsibilities

Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC/HMI control systems for manufacturing lines.
Integrate sensors, drives, and automation components to improve throughput and safety.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production on new equipment installations and upgrades.
Develop and maintain control system documentation, drawings, and standard work instructions.
Analyze equipment performance data and implement control changes for continuous improvement.
Support root-cause analysis, downtime reduction, and corrective actions for automation issues.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and Marvin engineering standards.
Provide training and technical support to maintenance and operations teams on control systems.
