Job summary

Hydrite Chemical Co in Terre Haute, IN is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, program, commission, and sustain plant control systems (DeltaV, PLC, HMI) and instrumentation. You will lead MOC changes, ensure data quality, and support safe, reliable operations across facilities.

You will provide SME guidance, develop standards, train operations and maintenance staff, and collaborate with electrical, IT/OT, and engineering teams to improve automation, cybersecurity, and process performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with instrumentation and control systems.
• Minimum 3 years of experience interfacing with contractors.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Hydrite’s safety vision and values across controls and contractor activities.
• Evaluate, design, program, test, and sustain plant control systems (DeltaV, PLC, HMI).
• Troubleshoot and optimize control systems for safe, reliable plant operations.
• Develop and enforce control system standards, procedures, and engineering documentation.
