Job summary

Saint Cyr Partners is seeking a Controls Engineer for a confidential liquid beverage manufacturer in the Indianapolis area. The role focuses on automated production and warehouse operations across multiple facilities, blending hands-on troubleshooting with controls programming and equipment improvements.

You will help improve reliability, production efficiency, and cross-location consistency while leading technical efforts and mentoring site controls staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2–4 years related work experience.
• Advanced PLC programming skills and motion control knowledge.
• Ability to develop controls solutions and troubleshoot complex equipment.
• Strong analytical, planning, organization and communication skills.
• Ability to lead through technical expertise and influence decisions.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 50–70%.
• Shift to third shift accommodation listed in requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement control strategies for automated production equipment and conveyors.
• Program, troubleshoot, test, and repair PLC-based controls and motion systems.
• Support design and development of controls for new equipment and upgrades.
• Establish coding standards and controls documentation across facilities.
• Evaluate automation solutions and recommend improvements for performance.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance and operations to fix controls issues.
• Provide technical direction and training to site controls teams.
• Explain technical recommendations to plant teams and leadership.
• Stay current with automation tech and programming tools.
