ManpowerGroup is assisting a leading heavy-duty engine manufacturer in Detroit, MI, to hire a Controls Engineer for the 3rd shift. The role focuses on troubleshooting and supporting PLC, CNC, HMI, and robotic controls within machining operations and maintenance teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and has 8+ years of controls experience in manufacturing, with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills to work across maintenance, quality, and production

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of controls engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, servo systems, VFDs, and industrial automation technologies.
• Working knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, networks, and database operations.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read and interpret electrical and technical drawings.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot, modify, and support PLC, CNC, HMI, robot controls, and related automation systems.
• Provide technical controls support for heavy-duty engine machining operations and assembly processes.
• Support servo systems, variable frequency drives, and industrial communication networks.
• Implement and maintain machining monitoring systems and interfaces with higher-level manufacturing systems.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, quality, and operations teams to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.

Our client, a leading heavy-duty engine manufacturing company, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Controls Engineer , you will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering Department supporting the Machining Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Production Teams . The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills , effective communication skills , and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Controls Engineer (3rd Shift)

Location: Detroit, MI

Pay Range: $52 - $60 H/r

What's the Job?
