Job summary

Rise Technical are seeking an Automation/Controls Engineer to join their Electrical Engineering team at the Ottawa, IL site. You will work on maintenance, upgrades and improvements across the automated machinery, programming and troubleshooting PLCs, inverters and servo drives, and producing electrical drawings with AutoCAD.

The ideal candidate will hold an engineering degree and have manufacturing experience, with a varied role and clear opportunities for progression and on-site training.

Qualifications

• Electrical, Controls, Automation Engineer or Technician with relevant degree.
• Ability to program and troubleshoot PLCs.
• Ideally some AutoCAD knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, upgrades, and improvement projects on automated machinery across the site.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting across the plant systems.
• Work with the Electrical Engineering team to implement upgrades and projects.
• Create electrical drawings using AutoCAD and coordinate with maintenance and projects.

Are you an Automation or Controls Engineer looking for a role where you will work on a wide range of automated machinery across a manufacturing plant and be involved in improvement and reliability projects?

With recent investment into the site, they are now looking for a Controls Engineer to join the Electrical Engineering team.

In this role you will be responsible for all maintenance, upgrades, improvements and installation projects on automated machinery across the site including facilities and infrastructure. You will be programming and troubleshooting PLCs, Inverter and Servo Drives, electrical drawings using AutoCAD, and work closely with maintenance and project teams.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree and be able to program and troubleshoot PLCs, have worked in a manufacturing environment and be looking for a varied and interesting position.
