Job summary

Quest Industrial, a division of ProMach, is hiring a Controls Engineer to develop and program robot, PLC, and HMI controls for robotic packaging automation machinery in Middleton, WI. You will solve complex challenges, interpret specs, and assist with installation, start-up, and commissioning of new equipment.

A 2-year Applied Science degree (Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Automation or Robotic Programming) and PLC/HMI expertise are required; willingness to travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year Applied Science degree with emphasis in Electrical/Mechanical Industrial Automation or Robotic Programming.
• Experience in PLC programming, HMI development, and troubleshooting.
• FANUC programming and Allen Bradley PLC programming.
• Experience with automation equipment and high-speed assembly machinery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Robot, PLC, and Servo, HMI software from existing libraries.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering to modify software as required.
• Assist installation team during install, start-up and commissioning of new machines.
• Participate in start-up of new automation equipment and machine modifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments on projects.
• Travel as required for on-site support and installations.
