Job summary

Hutchinson is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, program, troubleshoot, and improve automated manufacturing equipment and control systems. You will work with PLC programming, robotics, electrical controls design, and drive reliability and continuous improvement initiatives in a production environment.

The role partners with Production, Maintenance, Engineering and external vendors to ensure safe, efficient operation and contribute to productivity and quality enhancements.

Job description

The Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, programming, troubleshooting, and improving automated manufacturing equipment and control systems. This role supports production through PLC programming, robotics, electrical controls design, equipment reliability initiatives, and continuous improvement projects. The Controls Engineer partners with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and external vendors to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of plant equipment while driving productivity and quality improvements.
