Our intelligent Thermal Energy Storage (TES) systems minimize energy use while better protecting products inside warehouses, supermarkets, and restaurants across the globe. We are seeking talented and motivated individuals to join our growing team and tackle some of the world’s biggest energy and temperature challenges with our award-winning TES technology.

Position

The Controls Engineer will be responsible for the development and programming of controls hardware; and integrating them with clients’ existing refrigeration control systems.This position will work with the Sales and Production teams to achieve critical milestones and ensure seamless integration of controls for installations.

Experience, Skills, and Responsibilities

• 5+ years’ experience interfacing with client controllers using communication protocols
• Development of controls, hardware, programming, and integration with the client’s existing refrigeration systems via standard communication protocols such as APIs, Modbus, or BACnet
• Manage the execution of the final interface design, installation, and commissioning, which will be performed in conjunction with qualified electricians, contractors, and the client’s IT group
• IT administration, PLC integration, and cellular modem configuration experience is desirable
• Develop a controls integration strategy, design specifications and estimate costs for installations.Work with the engineering team to accurately forecast potential energy savings and project costs
• Knowledge of programming using languages such as Python on Linux operating systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education and Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science preferred; other degrees acceptable with relevant experience
• Fluent in English. Spanish fluency is a plus
• Must have effective time management skills verbal and written communication skills.be able to work independently with limited supervision
• Available to travel up to 10% of the time, as required
• Candidates must be based in the Houston, TX area
