Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer in Fort Lauderdale, FL to own and develop complete electrical control systems for custom automated machinery. You will program Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and Kinetix servo systems, and create schematics and panels with AutoCAD Electrical.

You will lead integration, testing, startup, and commissioning, collaborating with mechanical and manufacturing teams to deliver robust automation solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in Allen Bradley PLC programming (ControlLogix/CompactLogix) and Studio 5000.
• Proficient with Kinetix servo and motion control for automated machinery.
• Skilled in AutoCAD Electrical and electrical control system design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complete electrical control systems for custom automated machinery.
• Program Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs and Kinetix servo and motion control systems from scratch.
• Produce electrical schematics, panel layouts and documentation using AutoCAD Electrical.

Electrical Controls Engineer

Are you a Controls Engineer with strong Allen Bradley, Kinetix and AutoCAD Electrical experience looking to take technical ownership of complex automated machinery?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist machine manufacturer where you will work on technically challenging automation projects and take systems from initial electrical design and programming through integration, testing and commissioning.

You will play a key role within the engineering team, developing complete controls solutions for custom automated equipment while working closely with mechanical, electrical and manufacturing teams.

The Role

• Design and develop complete electrical control systems for custom automated machinery
• Program Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs and Kinetix servo and motion control systems from scratch
• Produce electrical schematics, panel layouts and documentation using AutoCAD Electrical
• Lead controls integration, troubleshooting, testing, startup and commissioning

The Candidate

• Strong Allen Bradley PLC programming experience, including ControlLogix / CompactLogix and Studio 5000
• Strong Kinetix servo, motion control and automated machinery experience
• Highly proficient with AutoCAD Electrical and electrical control system design
• Able to take complete ownership of controls projects from concept through commissioning
