Job summary

Insight Global is hiring two on-site Controls Engineers for a large automation facility in Ellabell, GA. You will troubleshoot and maintain conveyors and material handling systems, acting as the controls SME for AB PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, and Cognex scanners in collaboration with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

The role requires hands-on experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment, with a focus on electrical and controls troubleshooting for conveyors and related equipment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Controls Engineering or related industrial automation experience.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLC systems.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or automated industrial environment using SCADA for troubleshooting and monitoring.
• Strong electrical and controls troubleshooting skills with conveyors and material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain conveyor, sortation, and material handling systems.
• Diagnose issues with Allen Bradley PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, Cognex scanners; partner with maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, perform root cause analysis, and drive system reliability improvements in a fast-paced operations environment.

Insight Global's customer in Automation Machinery Manufacturing is hiring for 2 Controls Engineers that will work onsite in the Ellabell, GA area. These individuals will:

Support a highly automated 3-million-square-foot distribution facility by troubleshooting and maintaining conveyor, sortation, and material handling systems.

Serve as the controls subject matter expert, diagnosing issues with Allen Bradley PLCs, SCADA systems, VFDs, and Cognex scanners while partnering with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

Respond to equipment breakdowns, perform root cause analysis, and drive system reliability improvements in a fast-paced operations environment.

Skills and Requirements

2+ years of Controls Engineering, Controls Technician, Automation Engineering, or related industrial automation experience

Hands-on experience troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLC systems

Experience working within a manufacturing, distribution, fulfillment, logistics, or automated industrial environment

Experience using SCADA systems for troubleshooting and system monitoring

Strong electrical and controls troubleshooting skills Strong understanding of conveyors, conveyance systems, and automated material handling equipment
