Job summary

Availability for 3rd shift is highly preferred, with 1st shift opportunities also possible. You will design, maintain and troubleshoot electrical controls for presses, robots and welders, and lead electrical projects to improve equipment

Responsibilities

• Propose specifications and design standards for electrical matters and implement software changes.
• Design and maintain electrical controls and software.
• Troubleshoot electrical control issues on presses, robots, and weld machines.
• Support production to reduce downtime and scrap.
• Coordinate and implement electrical control projects.
• Participate in training and travel for follow-up procedures.
• Review production workflow setups for supervisor approval.
• Recommend stopping operations if safety or quality concerns arise.
• Attend production and shift meetings.

Production Products is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team in Columbus Grove, OH.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Propose process specification and design standards on electrical matters; Develop and implement software changes to improve production capabilities;
• Design, and maintain electrical controls, and software;
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve all electrical control related issues for press, robotic and weld machines;
• Support production in reducing 1 eliminating equipment and tooling downtime or scrap;
• Coordinate, plan and implement all electrical controls related projects;
• Participate in training and travel for follow-up procedures;
• Review and approve processes for production workflow set-ups for ultimate approval of the supervising Engineering Manager;
• Has the authority to recommend stopping production operations with respect to safety or quality concerns;
• Participates in production, and shift to shift meetings
