We have a Controls Engineer position available in our Albuquerque, NM office. This role involves controls engineering project requirements, including PLC programming, HMI/SCADA programming, control panel design, instrumentation specification, check-out support, and commissioning assistance.

Major Responsibilities include:

• Project execution:
  • Task identification, prioritization, and scheduling with accountability to meet commitments
  • Early problem identification and conflict resolution
  • Working under the direction of experienced engineers
  • Continuous improvement of methodologies, templates, and efficiency tools
  • Frequent communication with clients
• Ensuring compliance with all regulations and codes
• Technical writing including project definitions, status reports, process control sequences, scope of supply, RFI, customer correspondence, and code comments
• Providing engineering design, development, and implementation of software (DCS/PLC, HMI, etc.), and supporting hardware engineering and system design
• Supporting factory/site acceptance testing, user acceptance testing, and training
• Programming control logic, graphics, device communication, database configuration
• Reading, interpreting, and updating documents and drawings related to process control and automation projects

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline; technical degree and experience may substitute
• 3+ years of experience in process control, manufacturing, or information services
• Preferred experience with Rockwell and Cimplicity
• Design, development, and deployment experience with PLC, DCS, and/or SCADA/HMI
• Strong leadership and client relation skills
• Good documentation practices and experience with collaboration tools like SharePoint
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word; SharePoint experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Skills:

• Diverse process knowledge (Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Water & Wastewater)
• Experience with Schneider Unity, Allen Bradley ControlLogix, PlantPAx, ICONICS, Wonderware
• Experience with checkout, testing, startup, and commissioning
