Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented Junior Project Controls Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with a project team to assist with managing multiple contracts.

What You'll Be Doing:

Cost Engineering:

• Manage multiple contract databases and track detailed project costs.
• Assist with forecasting, project billing, and revenue recognition.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal staff to complete tasks.
• Conduct annual cost savings analyses, change orders, and reconciliation.
• Develop and manage cost control systems, including work breakdown structures, interfacing with Procurement, Engineering, and Finance.
• Analyze data in project management systems and create visual presentations of cost status.

Planning and Scheduling:

• Implement and maintain project planning and scheduling.
• Understand and apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology.
• Develop and maintain critical path logic networks and bar charts.
• Analyze and forecast project status against baseline schedules.
• Assess impacts of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.
• Report schedule status to management and clients.

Earned Value:

• Maintain an Earned Value Management System.
• Analyze cost and schedule performance indicators (CPI and SPI).
• Prepare project forecasts and status updates.
• Recommend corrective actions to management.

Other Duties:

• Support project manager requests for site changes.
• Provide guidance and assistance on project control issues.
• Perform additional responsibilities as appropriate.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Mathematics, or related field, with 3+ years of experience.
• Proficient in project controls software and Microsoft Office.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, with basic financial knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work with diverse teams, multitask, and knowledge of Power BI.

Minimum Clearance:

Not applicable. This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team, focused on designing and delivering infrastructure projects that connect and protect communities worldwide.

Salary Range: $29.95 - $52.40
