Job summary

ABB in Albuquerque, NM is hiring to join the Engineering team as a key member reporting to Engineering Manager I. You will optimize the Production organization’s assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours while meeting quality, efficiency, costs and safety targets.

Develop and maintain control systems, instrumentation and automation; evaluate new manufacturing technologies; verify safety-compliant functionality with tests; and keep equipment running through audits,

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with control systems, robotics, and automation.
• Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to coordinate several projects.
• Must be able to work across three shifts when necessary.
• Candidates must already have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.

This position reports to:

Engineering Manager I

As a member of the Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization’s assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety.

The work model for this role is onsite () in our Albuquerque, NM manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain control systems, instrumentation, and automation systems.
• Evaluates new manufacturing and control technologies. Adapting to specifications as appropriate.
