Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned building automation controls professional in the United States to lead startup, commissioning, and ongoing programming of DDC systems. The role requires hands-on testing, software loading, and on-site installation support for diverse commercial environments.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in controls field work, knowledge of Niagara, Johnson Controls, Trane, and Honeywell BMS, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of controls field experience.
• Programming capabilities may include Niagara platform, Johnson Controls, Trane and Honeywell Building Management Systems.
• Minimum five (5) years demonstrated experience in startup, commissioning, and programming building automation and controls systems.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
• Must pass background check & drug test.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee startup, commissioning, and programming of building automation and controls systems.
• Handle device testing (end-to-end), program downloading, equipment start-up and operations.
• Interface with customers or contractors during site assessments to ensure satisfaction.
• Represent the company to commercial, industrial and institutional customers; ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate onsite project initiatives and monitor subcontractor labor to meet quality and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated experience in startup, commissioning, and programming building automation and controls systems
• Demonstrated ability and knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems
• Responsible for device testing (end-to-end), program downloading, equipment start-up and operations
• Handle all day to day and escalated customer relation issues
• Ability to interpret control drawings, plans and sequence of operations
• Capable of hardware installation, software programming, diagnosis and repair of DDC systems
• Ability to interface and consult with the customer or contractor during site assessments
• Ability to represent the company to commercial, industrial and institutional customers
• Ability to interface and communicate with customers to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
• Manage all aspects of small projects without support of the Project Manager
• Effectively documents work performed by completing necessary paperwork on each job
• Maintain customer/contractor satisfaction for continual company growth
• Lead in coordinating onsite project initiatives
• Assist in monitoring the installation labor of subcontractor to ensure quality standards and project schedule are met
• Complies with all company safety policies
