Job summary

LEGO Manufacturing Virginia Inc. seeks a Controls Technician to support automated manufacturing by troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and vision systems, validating machine sequences, and driving improvements in performance and reliability.

You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Automation, and Engineering to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and support testing, commissioning, and change management while following safety standards and Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in industrial automation or control systems in manufacturing.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Experience with PLC, HMI, robotics and automation systems.
• Familiarity with industrial networks and automation devices.

Responsibilities

• Validate machine sequence of operation and verify systems perform as intended.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robots, vision systems, sensors, and industrial communications.
• Support startup, commissioning, and validation after maintenance and system changes.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance Automation, and Engineering to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Help reduce minor stops and production losses by implementing improvements.
• Update documentation and support change management processes.

Job DescriptionAre you passionate about industrial automation and solving complex equipment challenges?
