Job summary

LEGO Manufacturing Virginia Inc. is seeking an Installation Technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain production equipment across our facilities in Virginia.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, interpret manuals and drawings, and collaborate with engineering teams to implement improvements. Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience maintaining industrial equipment.
  • Strong experience with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with PLC systems (Allen Bradley and Siemens preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Rockwell Automation tools (RSLogix 5000, RSLinx, FactoryTalk View).
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to share knowledge and support team development.

Responsibilities

  • Install and decommission manufacturing and production equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to perform maintenance and installation tasks.
  • Collaborate with Global R&D teams and Process Engineers to identify and implement equipment improvements.
  • Work both independently and with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance Technicians and Engineers.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore functionality in a timely manner.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to identify issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and efficiency.

Job DescriptionThe Installation Technician is responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining production equipment while ensuring safe and efficient operation.
