Job summary

MasterMold LLC in Wisconsin is seeking a Controls Automation Engineer to program, troubleshoot, and improve our industrial automation systems that keep our manufacturing operations moving.

You will work with PLCs, robotics, and automation hardware, read electrical schematics and drawings, and lead upgrades and continuous improvement projects to boost uptime, throughput, and quality. Engage with ABB/FANUC/KUKA robots, coach operators, and own projects from concept to implementation.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming, industrial robotics, controls engineering, or manufacturing automation
• Strong plant floor troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related field, or equivalent hands on experience
• Experience with robotic paint systems, industrial coatings, press automation, vision systems, industrial networks, or manufacturing data systems is a major advantage.

Responsibilities

• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and industrial control systems
• Optimize ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Yaskawa, Motoman, or similar industrial robots
• Support robotic paint systems, press automation, machine controls, and equipment integration
• Diagnose electrical, software, mechanical, and automation problems
• Improve equipment uptime, throughput, quality, reliability, and process consistency
• Lead automation upgrades, process trials, and continuous improvement projects
