Hynes Industries in Youngstown is seeking a Controls & Automation Engineer to design, implement and maintain control systems for advanced manufacturing. You will lead setup and troubleshooting of robotic weld cells, tube lasers, rollformers, and related automation equipment.

You will provide production support, train maintenance personnel, and coordinate preventative maintenance while driving automation-driven process improvements across production lines.

Formación

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment with automation emphasis.
• Design, build, install, and commission automated equipment.
• Strong CAD skills (Inventor preferred).
• PLC programming experience with Siemens or Allen-Bradley.
• Ability to troubleshoot automated systems and lead projects.

# Controls & Automation EngineerYoungstown Manufacturing Headquarters - Youngstown, OH 44515## DescriptionTechnical support work for new manufacturing processes, equipment, and installation support(Shift: Day, as needed)**Essential Duties and Responsibilities Includes the following**:* Work with Advanced Manufacturing Team to determine feasibility and required manufacturing processes for a given opportunity* Design, implement, and maintain control and automation systems* Lead the setup and troubleshooting of automated equipment (robotic weld cells and robotic material handling systems, tube lasers, rollformers, etc)* Provide Production support for all automated systems* Maintain training for maintenance personnel and operators on automated systems* Provide support for maintenance on automated systems* Coordinate preventative maintenance to ensure maximum equipment uptime* Support engineering and production teams to implement process improvements with automation projects* Maintain documentation including robot programs, backups, maintenance and troubleshooting logs* Other duties as assigned## Qualifications* 4-yr Engineering degree or equivalent experience (+5yrs in similar role)* 7-10 years Equivalent experience in manufacturing environment (rollforming preferred)* Equipment design, build install, and commissioning* Extensive and proven design experience in automated equipment and processes, controls and automation* proven 3D/2D CAD skills (Inventor preferred)* mechanical experience a plus* proven PLC programming skills (Siemens, Allen Bradley)* proven troubleshooting skills**Other Skills:*** AutoCAD and Inventor* Microsoft Office, MS Project* PLC Platforms: Siemens, Allen Bradley, others* Multi-tasking is essential – not a clearly defined role* Cross-functional and collaborative to achieve defined objectives* Travel / overtime may be required* Project management skills a plus
