A Quality Facility Services (AQFS) is seeking a Controller/Senior Accountant to own the accounting function in a growing company. This hands-on role reports to leadership and shapes the financial side while working in a hybrid schedule.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong full-cycle expertise, and excellent Excel and communication skills. Join a team-focused culture with growth potential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong full-cycle accounting experience.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Public accounting or CPA firm experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day accounting operations.
• Perform full-cycle accounting: AP, AR, GL, reconciliations.
• Execute month-end close and financial reporting.
• Support cash management, budgeting, and planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
• Provide accurate financial information to leadership.
• Lead accounting projects and initiatives.

What You'll Do

You'll take ownership of the company's accounting function and play an important role in supporting the company's continued growth.

• Own the company's day-to-day accounting operations

• Full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, general ledger, and reconciliations

• Do the month-end close and financial reporting process

• Support cash management, budgeting, and financial planning

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and efficiency

• Provide accurate financial information and insight to leadership

• Take ownership of accounting projects and initiatives

This is a hands-on role that combines leadership, problem-solving, and execution

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Strong full-cycle accounting experience

• Strong Excel and accounting skills

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability

• Able to work independently and take ownership

• Comfortable being the primary internal accounting professional

• Strong communication skills

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred

• Public accounting or CPA firm experience is a plus
