Job summary

A Quality Facility Services (AQFS) is seeking a Controller/Senior Accountant in Canton, Ohio. This hybrid role offers $120,000–$140,000 per year with 3 days in office and 2 days from home.

You will own day-to-day accounting, lead full-cycle processes, and work with leadership to shape the financial future of a growing company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong full-cycle accounting experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the company's day-to-day accounting operations.
• Full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Do the month-end close and financial reporting process.
• Support cash management, budgeting, and financial planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and efficiency.
• Provide accurate financial information and insight to leadership.
• Take ownership of accounting projects and initiatives.

What You'll Do

You'll take ownership of the company's accounting function and play an important role in supporting the company's continued growth.

• Own the company's day-to-day accounting operations

• Full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, general ledger, and reconciliations

• Do the month-end close and financial reporting process

• Support cash management, budgeting, and financial planning

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and efficiency

• Provide accurate financial information and insight to leadership

• Take ownership of accounting projects and initiatives

This is a hands-on role that combines leadership, problem-solving, and execution

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Strong full-cycle accounting experience

• Strong Excel and accounting skills

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability

• Able to work independently and take ownership

• Comfortable being the primary internal accounting professional

• Strong communication skills

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred

• Public accounting or CPA firm experience is a plus
