Job summary

Optio Solutions, LLC is seeking a Controller to oversee the company’s accounting activities, including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, and operational analysis. The role ensures internal controls, supports budgets and forecasts, and provides analyses to Senior Management.

The position requires leadership of accounting personnel, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Business with emphasis in Accounting.
Leadership and management of accounting personnel.
Broad accounting experience including ledger, GAAP reporting, research and analysis.

Responsibilities

Oversee month-end and year-end closes with accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare financial statements and analyses for management and client reporting.
Coordinate annual financial statement audits and support statutory audits.
Manage staff, including hiring, coaching and development; handle time-keeping and assignments.
Review commission and bonus calculations for accuracy and consistency with programs’ documentation.
Assist with Requests for Proposals for potential new client acquisitions.
