Job summary

Plum Dental Group, a growing DPO with 30+ practices across Rhode Island and Connecticut, is hiring a Controller to lead finance and accounting as the longtime CFO retires. This is the most senior finance role, reporting directly to the CEO.

You will own controls, monthly close, audit, tax, and, with 4–6 acquisitions/year, assist diligence and integration while partnering with COO, RCM, and HR. Hybrid in Rocky Hill, CT.

Qualifications

• CPA required with strong GAAP knowledge and internal controls.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 10+ years accounting experience, 4+ years in Big Four or similar firm.
• Healthcare accounting experience; multi-site preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Experience with QuickBooks and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal controls, policies, and scalable processes.
• Own monthly close, reporting, and KPI dashboards.
• Manage multi-entity accounting, intercompany, and consolidations.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash/treasury.
• Lead annual audit and tax filings with external advisors.
• Support acquisitions and post-close integration.
