Job summary

Jobot is seeking a CPA with extensive construction accounting leadership to head the accounting and financial operations in Ballwin, Missouri. This hands-on role partners with executive leadership and private equity ownership to deliver accurate reporting and strong controls.

You will own job costing, WIP, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, project financials, budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement of processes and systems.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with construction accounting.
• Experience with private equity-backed environments preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and project-based financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, payroll, cash management).
• Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and ensure accurate statements.
• Oversee construction job costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
• Analyze project performance, change orders, labor costs, and cost-to-complete estimates.
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, controls, and process improvements.
