Job summary

gpac LLC. in the Chicago area is seeking a Controller to lead its accounting and financial reporting for a commercial construction contractor firmly established in the region.

You will oversee the general ledger, month-end close, financial statements and internal controls, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The role requires managing job costing, WIP schedules, revenue recognition on projects, plus billing, AP/AR, payroll oversight, and certified payroll as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with Controller or Assistant Controller exposure in construction.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
• Experience with construction accounting Sage is preferred.
