Astro Digital in Colorado is seeking an experienced Controller / Accounting Officer to lead monthly closes, prepare U.S. GAAP financials and oversee SEC filings for a growing public-ready company.

The ideal candidate is a CPA with public accounting background, strong SOX controls, and the leadership capability to scale the accounting function as the company advances toward an IPO or SPAC readiness. This role partners with finance leadership on strategic transactions and investor reporting.

Qualifications

• Active CPA required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Public accounting background (National or large regional firm preferred).
• SEC reporting and public-company experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX, and audit requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare and oversee U.S. GAAP-compliant financial statements and SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K).
• Manage external audits, technical accounting, and accounting policies.
