The Butte-Glenn Community College District is seeking a temporary Controller to join the Fiscal Services team in California. The Controller will lead accounting operations, financial reporting, audits, and compliance, driving efficiency and strong internal controls to ensure timely financial information.
This is a 195-day, non-exempt temporary position with a Monday–Thursday 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule, and Friday 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. The pool is open until filled.

Butte Glenn Community College would like to invite you to join our team as a temporary Controller. Butte College is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Controller to join our Fiscal Services team. This is a new position and will report to the Director of Fiscal Services. The Controller will provide comprehensive leadership and technical expertise across all accounting operations, financial reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong fiscal expertise and a continuous improvement mindset. This position will play a key role in driving efficiency, ensuring strong internal controls, and establishing timely, accurate financial information.
The tentative work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Over the summer the schedule changes to Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with Friday off.
*Bachelor’s Degree education equivalency is a 1 to 1 equivalency, one year of responsible work experience related to the classification for each full year (24-30 units) of college.
