About the Opportunity
A growing and dynamic organization is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its accounting and finance function. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing financial operations, reporting, internal controls, compliance, treasury activities, and strategic financial planning.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who combines strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to support business growth, improve processes, and provide practical financial guidance to executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the accounting and administrative team, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee financial operations, including month-end close, financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Manage financial reporting and provide meaningful analysis to support business decisions.
- Oversee treasury activities, banking relationships, and cash management functions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and reporting obligations.
- Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and financial compliance activities.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls and operating procedures.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, strengthen processes, and support organizational growth.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing financial insights and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA designation preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated experience leading accounting or finance teams.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Experience managing complex accounting operations.
- Proven success implementing financial controls, business processes, and operational improvements.
- Experience coordinating audits and regulatory compliance activities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate financial information into clear, actionable recommendations for business leaders.
