The role requires extensive experience in high-volume, new-car franchised dealerships, deep expertise in dealership accounting, HR compliance, and the ability to direct cross-functional teams while coordinating with internal staff and vendors.

Immediate opportunity for a seasoned, high-performing New Car Store Controller with extensive financial leadership experience in high-volume, new-car automotive dealerships.

In this critical executive role, you will lead all accounting operations, oversee HR and IT integrations, and manage facility operations—all while upholding the highest standards of ethics, precision, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct all dealership accounting functions with a hands-on approach. Manage month-end closes, general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and routine financial schedule audits.
• Supervise accounting staff and the facilities/maintenance team. Oversee HR functions, including employee onboarding, policy administration, and labor law compliance.
• Maintain strict internal controls, oversee tax filings (local, state, federal), direct external audit coordination, and safeguard financial statement accuracy.
• Manage floorplan schedules, cash flow optimization, dealership insurance policies, and risk claims. Review and approve contracts, operational agreements, and disbursements.
• Track daily financial metrics, present actionable operational insights to ownership, and coordinate IT/DMS systems with internal staff and third-party vendors.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven track record as a Dealership Controller. Extensive experience in high-volume, new-car franchised dealerships is required.
• Deep expertise in dealership accounting principles, floorplan management, and HR compliance. Hands-on experience with Dealertrack DMS is preferred
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to direct cross-functional teams and balance competing priorities.
• Must successfully pass a background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug screening.
