Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Financial Controller with Deltek Costpoint and project-based accounting expertise to lead our accounting operations in a regulated, project-driven environment. You will oversee GL, month-end close, and financial reporting across multiple contracts, ensuring compliance with govcon rules and cost allowability standards.

In this hands-on role, you will manage indirect rates, support firm-fixed-price and cost-plus contracts, partner with operations on manufacturing cost accounting

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership.
• Background in engineering and/or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with government contracting (GovCon) and project/cost accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead all core accounting functions: GL, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Oversee project-based accounting across multiple contracts.
• Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations and cost allowability standards.
• Manage indirect rates (fringe, overhead, G&A) and maintain cost pools.
• Support contract structures including Firm-Fixed-Price and Cost-Plus.
• Partner with operations on manufacturing cost accounting, inventory, and BOM oversight.
• Evaluate and improve internal controls, processes, and reporting accuracy.
• Help scale and mentor a small accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Manage indirect rates (fringe, overhead, G&A) and maintain accurate cost pools
• Support contract structures including:
• Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) – cost control, inventory/BOM accuracy, margin management
• Cost-Plus – strict cost tracking and regulatory compliance
• Partner closely with operations on manufacturing cost accounting, inventory, and BOM oversight
• Evaluate and improve internal controls, processes, and reporting accuracy
• Help scale and mentor a small, growing accounting team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (CPA a plus)
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership
• Background in engineering and/or manufacturing environments
• Strong experience in government contracting (GovCon)
• Proven expertise in project accounting and cost accounting
• Experience supporting FFP and/or Cost-Plus contract structures
• Comfortable in a hands-on, build-out environment

Systems

• Deltek Costpoint (highly preferred)
• Strong ERP experience required
