Job summary

TheASPTeam is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager/Controller to lead the financial operations of two related businesses: a hospitality business and a tech business, each with its own P&L. The role requires a fluent Mandarin speaker and a proven track record in full-cycle accounting and financial controls.

You will manage budgeting, close, A/P, payroll, and internal controls while coordinating with project managers and external contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• At least 7 years of progressive full-cycle accounting experience.
• GAAP knowledge; CPA preferred.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel.
• Excellent communication with ownership, staff, and external partners.

Responsibilities

Each business operates as a distinct P&L, requiring independent accounting management while working collaboratively within a shared operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Full financial close and reporting responsibilities.
• Manage and oversee full A/P and A/P while supervising one supporting accountant.
• Oversee full payroll and compliance functions.
• Create and manage full budgeting/forecasting process.
• Maintain and improve a robust internal control environment.
• Manage and monitor a large construction budget, tracking all capital expenditures and working closely with project managers and external contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• At least 7 years of progressive full-cycle Accounting work experience.
• GAAP knowledge, CPA preferred
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel
• Excellent communication skills: able to communicate clearly and diplomatically up to high-net-worth ownership, down to hourly staff, and externally with construction partners.
