Job summary

TurboPass, a fast-growing fintech/SaaS company, seeks an experienced Controller to lead accounting and build the financial infrastructure for its next growth phase. You’ll report to the CEO and COO and own the full cycle, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls while guiding audit readiness.

Residency in Austin, TX or Salt Lake City, UT is required. The role offers a base salary, annual bonus, benefits, equity, and a hybrid work environment in Austin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Active CPA required or eligible.
• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years as a Controller or Assistant Controller in a small to mid-sized company.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, and cloud-based accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar).
• Experience owning the full accounting function from close through financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
• Prepare GAAP‑compliant financial statements and executive reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and general accounting operations.
• Build scalable accounting processes and internal controls.
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic financial decisions.
• Lead the company’s first external financial audit.

Reporting directly to the CEO and COO, you’ll own the full accounting cycle, oversee financial reporting, lead budgeting and forecasting, strengthen internal controls, and prepare the company for its first formal audit. This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity where you’ll have a direct impact on the future of the business.

What You’ll Do
