Job summary

CFS is seeking a high-caliber Controller at our Salisbury, MA site. You will lead all accounting operations, own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, and partner with operational executives to drive performance.

The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on accounting oversight in a hybrid work setup. The ideal candidate has CPA credentials, strong GAAP expertise, and a track record of mentoring accounting teams while improving processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Combination of public accounting and private industry experience required.
• Experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations including GL, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance.
• Ensure accurate and timely GAAP financial statements.
• Direct and continuously improve the monthly close process.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analyses.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and procedures.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audits.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to site and corporate leadership.
• Partner with operational teams to support business performance.

Compensation: $165,000–$180,000 + bonus
