  • Manage the preparation and review of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, reports, and governmental agency reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Compare sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; make or oversee any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
  • Lead monthly financial meetings with agency partners.
  • Provide and present analysis of agency financial status, trends, and forecasts, complete with insights, conclusions, and points of view that culminate in rationale-based recommendations with applicable cost ramifications.
  • Own the financial process end-to-end. Review and implement best practices across the agency to maintain appropriate procedures, processes, and controls.
  • Oversee and lead the annual budget planning process.
  • Oversee outside third-party CPA firm with quarterly meetings and tax preparation.
  • Provide weekly cash flow projections and past-due balances to the leadership team.
  • Work alongside Ramey’s accounting team to support monthly client billing process and revenue recognition, including supporting teams on media billing.

Leadership

  • Remain current with evolving marketing and advertising industry-specific and general financial trends and practices in order to be knowledgeable and proactive.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop finance and accounting team to support a best-in-class function.
  • Collaborate with team members by providing data to support agency-wide growth.
  • Support client management, project management, and media teams in solving financial/billing issues.

Operational Support

  • Oversee state and government set-up and reporting.
  • Manage payroll, including benefits management, in collaboration with the agency President.
  • Work alongside insurance agency to facilitate corporate insurance and employee benefits management.

What’s Needed for This Role:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance highly preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct management and leadership experience
  • Advertising, media, or accounting experience for professional services firms, a plus
  • Advanced-level skills in Excel and Sage Intacct or QuickBooks
  • Experience working in Google Suite and Adobe
  • High level of communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal) and ability to effectively interface with internal team members, industry contacts, and clients
  • Strong attention to detail; ability to prioritize tasks and work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and manage work accordingly

Role Location: Ridgeland, MS – Hybrid schedule (up to 2 days a week can be work-from-home)
