Job summary

Blue Signal Search is seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee the full accounting function in Richmond, VA, providing timely financial information to senior leadership to support strategic decisions.

You will serve as a financial business partner, strengthen internal controls, manage monthly reporting, audits, budgeting, and tax compliance while driving cost containment and data accuracy across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• At least five years of accounting management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including monthly financial reporting, annual audits, and budgeting.
• Manage treasury and cash management activities.
• Oversee facilities-related financial administration, business travel, and workers’ compensation administration, excluding health benefits.
• Provide payroll backup support as needed.
• Prepare quarterly consolidation packages and collaborate with affiliated entities to ensure accuracy and alignment.
• Drive operational cost-containment initiatives.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reporting, payroll tax compliance, and cash management.
• Ensure timely collection and application of customer payments and accurate financial recordkeeping.
• Support corporate income tax compliance and maximize available tax advantages.
• Establish and maintain systems and internal controls that ensure financial integrity and data accuracy.
• Comply with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, with at least five years of accounting management experience.
