Job summary

Drucker Diagnostics seeks a Controller to serve as a senior financial leader partnering with the President and leadership team. The role manages cost accounting, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and cash management while driving financial reporting and risk management across the organization.

The Controller will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and real-time analysis of performance, delivering actionable insights and ensuring precision in financial statements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA/master’s preferred.
  • Minimum eight years of accounting/finance experience.
  • Experience with ERP in manufacturing preferred.
  • Alternate education/experience considered.

Job description

Controller

The Controller is a senior leader and core member of the management team. The Controller partners with the President and leadership team to drive the operational and financial performance within the business, manages a team to provide essential accounting and finance activities, including, but not limited to, Cost Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliations, and is responsible for cash management, financial reporting, risk management, and data analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify and analyze drivers of business performance and develop and implement ongoing measures to improve performance for operational productivity, material costing, overhead and SG&A spending, and working capital efficiency.
  • Provide financial analysis and decision support for an array of activities including growth initiatives, supply chain activities, and capital investments and initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement focused on eliminating wasteful, non-value-adding, repetitive, and duplicative work, automating data gathering and reporting systems, and simplifying and streamlining reporting processes.
  • Lead annual financial planning process, including preparation of forecasted and budgeted financial statements, summarized comparative statements, and summarizing key inputs such as cost-saving initiatives.
  • Deliver real-time analysis of results for business trends and factors impacting performance, anticipate resulting challenges and opportunities, and translate analysis of performance and results into concrete, actionable responses and plans.
  • Identify, monitor, and communicate risks in the overall business.
  • Drive cost reduction culture and specific cost reduction projects and activities.
  • Lead all aspects of accounting, including general accounting, cost accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, general ledger entries, financial statement preparation, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
  • Deliver timely and accurate financial processing, month-end close, cash management reports, and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for presentation to the executive leadership team.
  • Deliver financial results, bank compliance, and audit reporting as needed.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Desired Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in Accounting or Finance or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with ERP system in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Alternate education and experience are considered based on the individual candidate.
Language Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present information to all levels of employees and partners
Computer Skills:
  • Basic PC (non-programming skills)
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Proficiency with ERP and accounting tools, EPICOR preferred
Physical Demands:
  • Sitting, 6+ hours per workday
  • Work Environment: Office environment with exposure to manufacturing
Travel Requirements:

Travel as required to support the organization with some overnight travel
