Job summary

Jobot, a leading Civil Contractor near Pomona, CA, seeks an experienced Controller/Senior Accounting Manager to lead financial operations for projects up to $20 million revenue. You will produce monthly statements, supervise staff, and ensure strong internal controls while partnering with project managers.

Requirements include 10–15+ years in construction-focused controller roles; CPA preferred; advanced Excel/BI skills. Competitive salary plus bonus opportunities; on-site work in California.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accounting Manager with progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Construction industry experience strongly preferred (general contractor, specialty contractor).
• Experience supporting companies in the $15 million to $20 million revenue range.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.
• Proficiency in construction contract accounting and WIP/job costing processes.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly financial statements within 10–15 days after month-end.
• Develop annual budgets and forecasts; review variances with management.
• Analyze gross profit by project and monitor project margins.
• Identify cost overruns early and implement corrective actions.
• Improve internal controls and develop KPIs for executives.
• Present financial results to ownership and manage banking/external relationships.
