Job summary

CFS in Newburyport, MA is seeking a Controller for on-site work. The role offers a base salary of $165K–$175K with discretionary bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits package.

The Controller will manage general ledger operations, month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and staff supervision, reporting to executive leadership.

Qualifications

• CPA mandatory and active licensure.
• 5+ years progressive accounting with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger operations, month-end close and financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insight to executives.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
