603 Manufacturing, a Trexon business unit, is a manufacturer of cable and wire harness assemblies serving leading customers in the space, defense, medical and other specialty end markets. Operating from a facility in Hudson, NH, the business generates $20M-$30M in annual revenue with approximately 120 employees and is positioned to support its next phase of growth. Trexon is part of Amphenol Corporation (NYSE: APH), a global leader in interconnect and sensor solutions.
Reporting to Trexon's Controller, Head of Finance, with a dotted line to 603’s General Manager, the Site Controller is the senior finance leader at the Site and a key figure on the site leadership team. The role carries full ownership of the Site's accounting records, internal control environment and financial reporting, and is accountable for delivering accurate results within Amphenol's corporate reporting calendar.
Beyond the accounting function, the Site Controller owns operational finance for the Site and is expected to drive performance. Working alongside the General Manager and functional leaders, the Site Controller translates operational activity into financial insight across product and program profitability, cost, inventory and working capital, and partners with the leadership team to convert that insight into action. The role influences pricing and quoting decisions, cost reduction initiatives, capital investment and productivity programs, and holds the business accountable to its financial commitments.
As part of a public company environment, the Site Controller upholds corporate accounting policies, maintains a disciplined control environment and supports the Site through internal audit and periodic control self-assessment. The role is deliberately hands-on: the Site Controller personally owns the general ledger and technical accounting for the Site, supported by a small finance team, and is responsible for developing that team and scaling the function overall as the business grows.
Effective communication is integral to the role. The Site Controller must articulate financial results, risks and recommendations clearly to site and Trexon management, corporate finance and other stakeholders, while fostering a culture of transparency and accountability. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting, analysis and manufacturing cost capability with the presence and judgment to operate as a leader on site.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA or MBA preferred.
Experience: Minimum eight (8) to ten (10) years of progressive experience in a dedicated accounting/finance function, including prior experience as a Controller or senior finance leader at a manufacturing site. Manufacturing and cost accounting experience preferred. Public company experience and aerospace, defense or space end market experience are a plus.
Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, inventory and cost accounting, and manufacturing financial analysis. Experience with ERP systems required; Epicor experience preferred. Experience with consolidation and corporate reporting platforms preferred; SAP BPC experience a plus. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. Working knowledge of payroll processing, taxes, compliance and auditing. Demonstrated ability to improve processes and diagnose problems. Training will be provided on internal Trexon and Amphenol processes and systems, as required for this position.
