Jobot is seeking a permanent Controller in Napa, CA to join a leading independent wine producer in South Napa. This hands-on, on-site role oversees core accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business planning while partnering with cross-functional leaders to drive growth and improve financial performance.

You will manage daily accounting operations, prepare GAAP-compliant statements, develop financial models, and support audits.

Formación

• 5+ years progressive accounting experience with responsibility for financial accounting, reporting and analysis.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or an equivalent ERP system.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling and business planning skills.
• Working knowledge of GAAP, inventory accounting and internal controls.
• Proficiency with Power BI or equivalent BI tools.
• Ability to interpret complex financial information and translate into practical recommendations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration across the business.

Responsabilidades

• Lead budgeting and forecasting activities with stakeholders to evaluate performance and trends.

• Manage inventory accounting, valuation, cost analysis and controls.
• Strengthen internal controls and enhance reporting reliability.
• Leverage Dynamics 365 BC to streamline workflows and reporting.
• Use Power BI dashboards to communicate results and KPIs.
• Analyze results to identify profitability, efficiency and cash-flow improvements.
• Coordinate audits and prepare required financial documentation.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to align financial plans with priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Prepare accurate, timely financial statements and management reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, partnering with stakeholders to evaluate performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop financial models that support business planning, investment decisions, and growth initiatives.
• Manage inventory accounting, including valuation, cost analysis, reconciliations, and related controls.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets, improve reporting reliability, and support compliance.
• Leverage Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to streamline accounting workflows and enhance financial reporting.
• Use Power BI to build dashboards and communicate financial results, key performance indicators, and business insights.
• Analyze financial and operational results to identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and cash flow.
• Coordinate audit activities and support the preparation of required financial documentation.
• Partner with cross‑functional leaders to align financial plans with business priorities and continuously improve processes.

Qualifications

• At least five years of progressive accounting experience, with demonstrated responsibility for financial accounting, reporting, and analysis.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or an equivalent enterprise resource planning system.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business planning skills.
• Working knowledge of GAAP, inventory accounting, and internal controls.
• Proficiency with Power BI or equivalent business intelligence and data visualisation tools.
• Ability to interpret complex financial information and translate findings into clear, practical recommendations.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to partner with stakeholders across the business.
• A proactive, hands‑on approach to solving problems and improving accounting processes.
• CPA designation preferred.
