Job description

EA Talent Solutions has been engaged by our client, a top hospitality and restaurant management group, who is seeking a hands‑on and detail‑oriented Controller to join their finance team. This role is pivotal in overseeing accounting operations and contributing to financial strategy as the business continues to grow. The Controller will own the full accounting cycle while partnering closely with leadership to drive profitability and operational efficiency. This position is primarily in office, with occasional travel as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Develop, monitor, and analyze budgets, forecasts, and cash flow
  • Track and report on profitability and other key performance metrics
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisors, and other external partners
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax filings and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with leadership to provide financial insights that support growth and expansion
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering accuracy and accountability
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and reporting efficiency
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA a plus
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, restaurant, or multi‑unit environments
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
  • Experience managing the full accounting cycle and producing financial statements independently
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems; advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Compensation for this role is commensurate with experience, with a base salary range of $90,000–$120,000.
