Job summary

StaffSource partners with a well established manufacturer in West Knoxville to hire a Controller. This is a working manager role where you lead a small accounting team while staying hands-on in daily work.

You will own account reconciliations and the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, drive process improvements, and partner closely with operations to maintain data integrity in a fast-paced environment. CPA/CMA and Epicor ERP experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing accounting background required.
• Proven ownership of month-end close process.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience handling tax notices through resolution.

What You Will Do

What We Are Looking For

• Manufacturing accounting background
• Proven ownership of the close process in a current or recent role
• Demonstrated initiative, such as leading a move from average to standard costing
• Experience managing tax notices through to resolution
• A track record of what you have built or improved within a company, not only maintained
• The ability to lead a team and still roll up your sleeves in a high pace environment

Preferred

• CPA or CMA
• Experience with Epicor ERP
• Experience in a family owned or closely held manufacturing environment
