Job summary

CFS in Indianapolis, IN seeks a seasoned Controller to lead all accounting operations from a fully in-office setting. You will partner with CFO and executive leadership on financial strategy, process improvement, and critical business decisions, shaping accounting best practices as the top accounting leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Manufacturing accounting experience is required, including full-cycle accounting, month-end close, financial statements, and general ledger responsibility.
• Previous leadership experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or Senior Accountant with direct supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger management, month-end close, financial statement preparation, sales tax, and financial reporting.
• Lead, mentor, and develop two direct reports while ensuring accounting accuracy, efficiency, and strong internal controls.
• Drive process improvements by developing SOPs, streamlining workflows, and improving reporting capabilities across the organization.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, inventory analysis, cost accounting, and work-in-process (WIP) reporting.
• Prepare meaningful financial analysis and operational reporting to support strategic business decisions and continued company growth.
