Job summary

Homerun B.V. is seeking a Controller to innovate finance operations within the procurement industry. In this high-ownership role, you will manage core accounting tasks, facilitate financial reporting, and enhance automation processes across teams.

At Sibi we're looking for a Controller to join our team.

About Sibi

Sibi is modernizing the antiquated procurement industry. We are simplifying the process of building and improving a property by connecting manufacturers, contractors, and homeowners directly on one platform.

Today, Sibi facilitates high-volume building product transactions across categories like appliances, HVAC, paint, cabinets, flooring, and more. As we grow, we are expanding into more complex offerings, including labor‑enabled programs and client‑specific technology solutions.

The Role

This is a hands‑on, high‑ownership role for a strong CPA who wants more than a traditional accounting seat.

You will own the books, tighten the close, improve reporting, and make sure the fundamentals are right. You will also work with Operations, Automation, and Engineering to automate finance workflows, improve transaction‑level data, and build scalable systems around revenue, cost, margin, rebates, payouts, and partner settlements.

The right person is detail‑oriented, systems‑minded, and excited to help build the finance function inside a growing technology company.

What You’ll Own

• Own core accounting operations, including GL, journal entries, reconciliations, AP, AR, accruals, payroll allocations, and balance sheet integrity.

• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close.

• Prepare financial statements, KPI reporting, cash reporting, and leadership materials.

• Help define and document revenue recognition across product transactions, rebates, labor programs, pass‑through costs, financing arrangements, and technology fees.

• Own partner reconciliations, rebate invoicing, settlements, dispute resolution, and payout workflows.

• Partner with Operations, Automation, and Engineering to automate manual finance processes and improve financial data quality.

• Support tax compliance, internal controls, audit readiness, cash management, and forecasting.

• Help build the accounting team and finance processes as Sibi scales.

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s in Professional Accounting, Master’s in Accounting, or similar advanced accounting degree strongly preferred.

• Active CPA required.

• 3–5+ years of total accounting experience.

• At least 2 years of Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred.

• Strong understanding of US GAAP, month‑end close, revenue recognition, reconciliations, accrual accounting, and financial reporting.

• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with accounting systems, payment data, operational data, and large transaction sets.

• High attention to detail, strong ownership, and clear communication.

• Ability to work cross‑functionally with business, operations, automation, and engineering teams.

• Practical mindset: you know how to add structure and controls without slowing the company down.
