Job summary

Nigel Frank International is recruiting for an established biotechnology leader in East Falmouth, MA. This hybrid role focuses on financial leadership, US GAAP reporting, and strategic cost management within a manufacturing context.

The ideal candidate is a CPA with 10+ years of managerial experience, strong accounting and analytics skills, and familiarity with ERP systems (Dynamics GP preferred). You will collaborate with leadership on audits, budgets, and forecasts.

Qualifications

• CPA in good standing with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of managerial accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and cost accounting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee US GAAP financial reporting, month-end close, and reconciliations.
• Lead AR/AP personnel, internal controls, and process improvements.
• Manage inventory valuation, standard costing, and year-end counts.
• Prepare journal entries, reports, and ad hoc analyses for decision-making.
• Coordinate external audits and support budgeting, forecasting, and special projects.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee US GAAP financial reporting, including month-end close, balance sheet integrity, and account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable personnel, processing, and internal controls.
• Oversee inventory valuation, standard costing, variance analysis, and year-end physical inventory reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries, financial reports, and ad hoc analyses to support business decisions.
• Coordinate annual external audits and support budget preparation, financial forecasting, and special projects.

What You Need:

• CPA in good standing and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 10 years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and inventory, manufacturing, and cost accounting.
• Strong analytical skills and sound business judgment, with the ability to provide financial insights and support business objectives.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and ERP upgrades or implementations is a plus.
• Experience in the life sciences or biopharmaceutical industry is a plus.
