Job summary

CFS in Chicago is seeking a seasoned Controller to partner with executive leadership and help shape financial strategy while building a best-in-class finance function for a growing industrial organization.

You will own accounting, close processes, budgeting, forecasting, and ERP management (Great Plains). This role offers high visibility, strong collaboration across global teams, and opportunities to mentor a high-performing finance team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience with leadership responsibility.
• Manufacturing or industrial industry experience required.
• Great Plains experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, financial reporting, and cash management functions.
• Own month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
• Partner with leadership to drive strategic decisions and performance improvements.
• Manage ERP systems (Great Plains) and optimize financial workflows.
• Oversee audits, compliance, and internal controls.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

CPA strongly preferred
