Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a seasoned Controller/finance leader to connect financial performance with daily operations and guide a team across our Florida footprint.

The role emphasizes partnering with operations, forecasting, strengthening controls, and driving business insights while supporting growth and relocation as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical experience.
• Experience leading and developing accounting or finance professionals.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into clear business insights.
• Strong operational and business acumen.
• Experience partnering with senior business and operational leaders.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Connect financial performance with the day-to-day operations of the business.
• Partner with operational leaders, analyze performance, develop forecasts, and strengthen processes.
• Lead finance professionals and drive accountability across multi-location operations.
• Explain why results occurred and identify opportunities to improve.
• Support strategic decisions with clear financial storytelling.
