Job summary

Phaxis is seeking an experienced finance leader in Bethesda, MD to oversee all accounting and financial operations of the firm. The role focuses on delivering timely financial reporting, cash management, and strategic planning to support executive leadership.

The successful candidate will develop dashboards, forecasts, and KPIs to drive profitability and cash flow improvements, while overseeing billing, AR/AP, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and financial operations of the firm.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to firm leadership.
• Prepare and distribute weekly cash position reports, including cash balances, and upcoming expenditures.
• Develop financial dashboards and key performance indicators related to profitability and cash flow.
• Provide analysis and recommendations related to profitability, staffing, compensation.
• Help establish and enhance budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
• Oversee billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and related functions.
• Improve processes, workflows, and internal controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and accountability.
